Description

The City of Jackson, Tennessee is proposing the construction of a southern extension of State Route (SR) 186/US 45 Bypass connecting SR 1/US 70/Airways Boulevard to SR 5/US 45/South Highland Avenue south of the City of Jackson. A Transportation Planning Report (TPR) was prepared for the proposed project and approved by the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) in March of 2009. US 45 Bypass Extension Study - Public Meeting

A Public Meeting was held Thursday, February 25th to provide information on the US 45 Bypass Extension Study that is currently underway. The meeting was held to provide the public with an opportunity to participate in the study process.

A brief presentation was given at 5:30 pm, followed by a question and answer period with City of Jackson officials and their planning/engineering consultant. Before and after the presentation, project representatives were available at the displays to answer questions. The public was invited to submit comments verbally or in writing at or within 10 days of the meeting. A court reporter was available to take comments.
